Blackbird Gallery
Tranformation,
change,
and rebirth
Blackbird Gallery, founded by Jean Purnell and Angela White, is the result of a shared desire to create a space to celebrate the art that moves and inspires them. Located at 422 First Street, Blackbird will feature a diverse array of contemporary and traditional fine art, including oil painting, sculpture, drawing, encaustic, assemblage, ceramics, textiles, and more. The Blackbird is a symbol of transformation, change, and rebirth. We find joy in these concepts.
Blackbird Gallery will be open Friday through Sunday from 11 am to 5 pm. Please stop by, chat with Jean, Angela, and the artists, and see a new chapter in Benicia’s artistic story coming to life.
We are in the former home of Pups and Purrz, and hope the doggies won’t hesitate to come in for treats, too.
